Vehicles we accept in Providence

Cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, RVs — running or not, clean title or complicated.

At Wheel of Hope, we believe in making a difference by accepting nearly any type of vehicle, whether it's drivable or not. Our program is designed to help Providence residents turn their unused cars, trucks, and more into valuable funding for essential benefits research services. Every donation, regardless of its condition, contributes to our mission of connecting neighbors with programs that support their needs. From sedans to boats, we welcome a variety of vehicles to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to contribute to our cause and help their community thrive.

Categories we accept

Cars & Sedans
1995-present

Most cars and sedans are sold at auction or directly to buyers seeking a reliable vehicle. Even those in less-than-perfect condition can attract interest and generate funds. Donations help support our local research services.

Cars are a common sight on Providence roads - turning your used sedan into funding can significantly impact your neighbors who rely on our services.

Pickup Trucks
2000-present

Pickup trucks are often sought after for their utility and toughness. Donations tend to find buyers in need of work vehicles, or they may be repurposed for parts, maximizing our mission's reach.

Many Providence residents use pickup trucks for various tasks, from construction jobs to weekend adventures, so your truck can support community efforts effectively.

SUVs & Crossovers
2005-present

These vehicles are typically popular and can be sold at auction or privately, helping to fund necessary community projects. Their larger size often means greater utility for subsequent owners.

With families and larger groups in mind, SUVs and crossovers are essential in Providence, especially for trips around our beautiful coastal areas.

Motorcycles
2000-present

Motorcycles often appeal to enthusiasts and collectors. Donations can lead to quick sales, generating funds that support our outreach initiatives.

With scenic routes around Narragansett Bay, Providence has a vibrant motorcycle community, making your donation meaningful to fellow riders.

RVs & Campers
1995-present

RVs and campers might be sold, parted out, or recycled, depending on their condition. They can provide substantial funding due to their higher value and appeal to adventure seekers.

As many enjoy exploring New England, donating an RV can significantly help those in Providence looking for support and connection.

Boats
1995-present

Boats may be auctioned off or salvaged for parts, with both routes ensuring funds that boost local benefit research. The maritime community finds great value in these donations.

Providence's close proximity to water makes boats a popular donation choice; your unwanted boat can help support our coastal community.

Commercial Vehicles
2000-present

Commercial vehicles, such as vans and delivery trucks, can be sold or serviced, contributing to substantial fundraising for local programs that assist residents.

As small businesses thrive in Providence, donating a commercial vehicle can directly support efforts that uplift our local economy.

Non-running Vehicles
Older than 2000

Even if a vehicle doesn’t run, it can still be donated. These are often recycled or sold for parts, with proceeds helping fulfill our mission of providing crucial support.

Non-running cars may clutter our streets, but your decision to donate can clear the way for neighbors who need assistance.

Condition guide

When it comes to donating vehicles, we accept a variety of conditions. Running vehicles are the easiest to process and can be sold quickly to generate funding. However, we also welcome vehicles that are not in working order; these can often be recycled or sold for parts, ensuring that no contribution is wasted. Even cars that require significant repairs can still make a huge impact.

It’s important to note that vehicles with salvage titles may be accepted, as long as they are still repairable. On the other hand, vehicles with considerable damage or those declared total losses may not qualify. If you're unsure about your vehicle’s eligibility, please contact us, and we’ll be happy to assist you in determining its status.
